Georgia Governor Wilson Lumpkin's Personal Copy of 20th US Congress Pamphlets, with many pertaining to Cherokee Indians Land Deals and Government (and much more)
Washington: Gales & Seaton, 1828. Sammelband of 31 individual pamphlets from the 20th Congress (1st Session) bound together, with many of them related to Cherokee Indians in regards to land deals and forming a government. Many other topics covered as well.
This volume is bound in 3/4 calf leather with marbled paper boards and agold stamped morocco spine label, 5.5" x 9.5”. This was the personal copy of Wilson Lumpkin, a member of the Committee on Indian Affairs US House of Representatives from Georgia (and also the 35th Governor of Georgia). Tipped in at the front is a sheet that provides a record of how the volume was handed down from Lumpkin to future generations for provenance.
