I began as a collector about 15 years ago and what was once (and at least partially still is) a hobby, over time transformed into a business.

I tend to focus on rare and early Americana, with a particular interest in the Southern US and an emphasis on early North Carolina imprints, documents and other ephemera. I have an expansive inventory of books listed on eBay under the name "crottsy". The site here is meant to focus on some of the more select pieces of Southern history, along with samples of a few other genres/themes.

I do not operate a brick and mortar storefront but I do welcome potential clients that would like to peruse my shelves with a prescheduled appointment. Just reach out and we can set something up.

Additionally, I am always looking for quality rare books for purchase. Contact me to schedule a house call to review a single volume or a whole library. I'm open to a broad range of subjects! That said, there is not much value for me in textbooks, paperbacks, current popular fiction, Readers Digest or other book club edition and most encyclopedias. Anything else, please reach out to me.
