Collection of Portrait Photographs of Charleston, South Carolina Circular Church Reverend William H. Adams and His Family

1860. Nine photographs altogether, including three CDVs of Adams, one CDV of Adams and his wife on their wedding day, one CDV of an elderly reverend, likely Adams, one CDV of Mrs. Margaret Edwards Adams, his wife (identified), two CDVs of children, likely theirs. All but one have Charleston imprints, save for one, with "Enfante, Alabama" handwritten on the back; another has the date 1866 handwritten on the back. Together with one plate, likely from a book, of Adams. Plus one oval albument portrait, roughly 9 inches tall, of Adams, signed on the back by wife Margaret Adams in 1866. This image has hand painted embellishments and coloring. Minor soiling and wear to images, which are very presentable overall. Item #100667
