Paper covered boards with title lettered in black and surrounded in black borders on front cover. Illustrated advertisement for Walker, Evans & Co. on rear board. Black leather spine and joints (cracked and separating at the top). Leather chipped upper front joint and upper spine. Interior section of Almanac is loose (from January to December). Heavy toning to pages before January and after December. Interleaved and Bound by Walker, Evans & Co. Stationers and Printers No. 3 Broad Street, Charleston. 6 sides of interleaved sheets of paper used to record brief diary entries. The last 15 sheets bound after the last Almanac page are blank. One of the sheets with manuscript is torn in half. Period inscription on right front yellow end sheet of "S. D. Kirk 1856." Very scarce Almanac. OCLC records one listing held in institutions (American Antiquarian Society). No listings located for this expanded edition with the added sheets.
