1835. A collection of three different printings pertaining to the early government of Wilmington, N.C., bound together in marbled boards and ¾ leather with gilt title on spine.

Acts for the Regulation of the Town of Wilmington:

1. An Act, for the Regulation of the Town of Wilmington, Chapter 13. – George II. – A.D. 1756 – pp. 3-7;

2. An Act, to Amend an Act of the Town of Wilmington. Chapter 49 p. 132 – A.D. 1784 – pp. 8-10;

3. An Additional Act, to Amend the Several Acts for the Regulation of the Town of Wilmington, and to Regulate and Restrain the Conduct of Slaves and Others in the Said Town, and in the Towns of Washington, Edenton and Fayetteville. Chapter 6, p. 150 – A.D. 1785. - pp. 11-15;

4. An Act (To Empower the Wardens of the Poor of the County of Franklin, &c.) and for Amending the Wilmington Town Law. Chapter 68 – p. 234. – A.D. 1789 and many more separately listed acts, paginated continuously up to p. 43, each with a different header as noted above. An index was also printed, pp.44-47. No title page or official print date, but since this was continuously paginated, the latest date seen was 1835 on p. 43, so this is presumed printed ca. 1835-1836.

Also bound in is a separate 14 pp. pamphlet (ca. 1856). An Act to empower the Commissioners of the Town of Wilmington to establish streets in said Town, and for other purposes.

Lastly, bound in is (1859, 4 pp.) An Act, Concerning the Town of Wilmington, Ratified the 16th February, 1859.addresses bound in a decorative binding. Item #100244
