The record of activities of the first ever session of the North Carolina House of Commons, and an early North Carolina imprint. The Commons met from Nov. 3 to Dec. 6, 1788. Several of the laws deal with internal improvements, river navigation, and the bolstering of the state's agricultural production. The twelve pages of tables are "An Account of Monies Received in Part of the Taxes of the Year 1787." Any 18th century North Carolina imprints are quite rare. MCMURTRIE (NC) 148.
