An exceptionally rare early Charleston, South Carolina imprint, with remarkable provenance! (see below). Sadly lacks the two leafs noted above, but still an important piece of Americana that rarely comes to market in any condition.
SIGNED on the final leaf by Captain Swanson Lunsford, a Revolutionary War Veteran who served in Lee's Legion under Col. "Lighthorse Harry" Lee. Lunsford is buried on the South Carolina Statehouse Grounds in Columbia, SC. The signature is also dated January 28, 1795, with Columbia written there as well. Item #100189
