Daisy Breaux, born "Margaret Rose Anthony Julia Josephine Catherine Cornelia Donovan O'Donovan," grew up in New Orleans, married into money and was part of the elite social circles of the day by the mid-1880's. She designed and lived in Charleston's "Villa Margherita" with her first husband. It was then known as "The White House of the South" as it hosted Presidents Taft, Cleveland and Roosevelt after she turned it into a luxury hotel. Item #100071
